Research Associate, Quantitative Biology (Job Code #RAQB)

The Research Associate will join a dynamic Quantitative Biology team driving the discovery, characterization and development of immuno-modulatory drugs. The job demands creative problem-solving approaches to the optimization and execution of new biochemical and cell-based assay methodologies.  This position requires working with others in a team setting to develop and answer challenging scientific questions. There will be opportunities to explore laboratory automation and robotics.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

A strong candidate will be enthusiastic about supporting the operation of a dynamic laboratory, have great attention to detail and superior organization skills. The abilities to plan and prioritize tasks, and work with close direction are essential for success. You will contribute during lab meetings and assist in the analysis and reporting of experimental data to project teams. The role demands a highly goal-driven approach and the ability to focus on time-sensitive objectives. Above all, we are looking for someone with a record of strong achievements coupled with an enthusiastic attitude and a willingness to learn.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIREMENTS: 

A B.S. or M.S. in Biochemistry, Cell Biology or a related discipline. At least two years of experience in an industrial or academic setting, though previous industrial experience would be advantageous. Proficiency in assay development and experimental execution, with strong, practical laboratory skills.  Experience with cell culture, enzymatic assays and/or other assay development is highly desirable. You should enjoy operating in an exceptionally dynamic and cooperative environment where every voice matters.
